Well done to all those ATP members who raced in their new club shirts, there was a lot of great response!

Viridian Half Marathon Race Report August 24th 2008

The day started with Dimitri and Neil setting off on the Half Marathon well before the rest of us had even woken up. Both of the boys did well in their catagories, Dimitri narrowly missing out on a podiium position. The weather was superb with a gentle offshore wind. Heaps of competitors which was great to get the blood flowing before the race.

Next to go were the 10k racers, Michael, Heidi, Tony and Louise. Some great positions again and all the boys and girls said they had fun on the course, mixing up with the half marathon runners. Tony came out of the blue after disappearing from training sessions, to post a great time and 15th place in his catagory.

Last to go were the sleepy headed late risers, Dmitri had already finished the half marathon and fancied a warm down in the 5km race! Simon and Georgie had an enjoyable race, trying to catch all the little kids, hoping they could do it before the finish line, with Simon sneaking a podium position in his catagory. Overall a great day and looking forward to next year!
